DE VRE TRANS (PTY) LTD – CODE OF CONDUCT

De Vre Trans (Pty) Ltd enforces strict adherence to legal and ethical standards, prohibiting criminal, fraudulent, and dishonest acts, with managers ensuring compliance, education, and control to prevent such behaviours.

Code principles include but are not limited to:

  1. Prohibition of Misuse of Company Vehicles: Company vehicles must not be used for personal purposes or transport private individuals. Non-compliance indemnifies the employer.
  2. Ban on Illegal Substances: No illegal items, including cigarettes, narcotics, alcohol, or undeclared minerals, are allowed on company vehicles.
  3. Zero Tolerance for Theft and Misappropriation: Theft, misappropriation of funds, supplies, and other resources is strictly prohibited.
  4. No Forgery or Document Alteration: Forgery or altering documents is forbidden.
  5. Bribery and Corruption: Bribery or attempts at bribery are not allowed.
  6. Unauthorized Use of Information Systems: Access to records and information systems must be authorized, with no unauthorized sharing or alteration of data.
  7. No Falsification of Reports: Falsifying reports to management or external stakeholders is prohibited.
  8. Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: Employees must avoid situations where personal interests conflict with company interests and refrain from soliciting or accepting benefits from suppliers or customers.
  9. Proper Handling of Financial Transactions: Employees must not authorize or receive compensation for unperformed goods or services, and must avoid exceeding authorization limits.
  10. Protection of Confidential Information: Confidential and commercial-in-confidence information must be safeguarded, and employees must avoid trading on or disclosing such information improperly.

DeVre Trans Employees are responsible for adhering to these principles, reporting any violations, and understanding that breaches can result in disciplinary action. The company promotes ethical behaviour and provides protection for whistle blowers.
